High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire in 1795 and a descendant of Sir Salathiel Lovell.

Lieutenant-colonel of the Buckinghamshire militia and a magistrate and deputy lieutenant for that county.

As he died unmarried, his estates of Little Missenden Abbey, Buckinghamshire and Maplethorpe Hall, Lincolnshire passed to his brother, Thomas Stanhope Badcock
