Services for Goldie Lea Jones, 94, of Carthage, were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2000, at Jimerson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ken Stone officiating. Ms. Jones died Thursday. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the First Baptist Church of Clayton. She was born March 4, 1906, in Lyra.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Ophia Alton "Bob" Jones, and is buried next to her daughter, Veda Mignon Jones Isbell.
