William E. Bedwell, 55, of 2104 Jefferson Street, an engineer of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company, died yesterday afternoon at his home after six months' illness
A veteran of World War I, he had been employed by the railroad company for a number of years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers of Washington Lodge, No. 1, AF and AM, and of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Nettie E. Bedwell, and two brothers, Raymond F. and Ralph Newman Bedwell, all of Wilmington, and a sister, Mrs. George J. McCloskey of Columbus, Ohio. He was unmarried.
The funeral will take place from the C. Everett Kelley Funeral Home, Twenty-third and West Streets, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. J. B. Dickerson, pastor of McCabe Memorial Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow night.
