Obituary
Sturgis; Everett L. PATRICK, 77, of 69861 S.
Lakeview, Sturgis, died Aug. 29, 1998, at Sturgis Hospital.
He was born April 17, 1921, in Kenton, Ohio, a son of
Ollie and Lula (BIRCHFIELD) PATRICK.
On Feb. 5, 1943, in Colon, Mich., he married
Grace I. FLANDERS. They moved to Sturgis in
1952, coming from Burr Oak.
He was a retired plumber and a member of Local
337 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union; attended the Wesleyan
Church; was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Pacific
during World War II; and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Surviving are his wife, Grace; two sons and daughters-in-law,
Dr. Larry and Carol PATRICK of Evans City, Pa.. and Mark and
Brenda PATRICK of Sturgis; grandchildren, Jonathan PATRICK of
Evans City, Pa., Michelle PATRICK of Kalamazoo, Charles PATRICK
of Sturgis, Ann SIEGEL and Bernice SIEGEL, both of Washington,
D.C.; one brother, Charles PATRICK of Centreville; two sisters,
Mrs. Wayne (Mildred) HAMLET of Sturgis; Mrs. Eldon (Jean) ASH
of White Pigeon; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in
death by his parents and two sisters, Hattie WEIBLE and Opal MEESE.
Friends and relatives may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Rosenberg-
Schipper Funeral Home Ltd. of Sturgis, where the family will receive
friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Religious services are at 11 a.m.
Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Rick Hudgens and
Rev. Brian Trump of the Sturgis Wesleyan Church officiating.
Cremation will follow.
