A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Friday November 12, 2010 at Reeds United Methodist Church with the Rev Gary Foster and Dr Gary Gibson officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday Nov. 11, 2010 at Davidson Funeral Home.
Jeffrey Callahan was born January 24, 1958, in Davidson County, to Troy Wendell Callahan and Maxine Swicegood Callahan. He was employed with Gobble and Callahan Inc. for over 35 years. He was then co-owner of Gobble and Callahan Inc. for 10 years. In March along with his sons and Dee Dee Callahan he bought Gobble and Callahan and changed the name to Callahan Concrete. Jeffrey took much pride in his work with this company. You can spot his and his dads workmanship all over Davidson County. Jeffrey had many other passions other than his work, his love for his family, coaching baseball, hunting and fishing. Mr. Callahan was a member of Reeds Methodist Church and the Davidson County Builders Association. Jeffrey is preceded in death by his father, Troy Callahan; and his sister Barbara Thomas Callahan. The loss of these two loved ones brought him continuous pain.
Jeffrey leaves behind to mourn him, his mother, Maxine Callahan; his sons whom he loved dearly, Jake Callahan and his girlfriend Jodi Shaver, Matthew Callahan, and Clint Callahan; Dee Dee Callahan and many friends, family and co-workers.
