Nancy Margaret Moore

Nancy Margaret Moore, the daughter of Edmund and LaVera Georgia (Hansen) Jensen, was born January 12, 1946, in Harlan, Iowa and died April 23, 2022, at the Midlands Living Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa at the age of 76 years, 3 months, and 11 days.

Nancy was baptized at the Elk Horn Lutheran Church in Elk Horn, Iowa and confirmed at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon, Iowa. She attended the Gray Consolidated Schools in Gray, Iowa and then graduated from the Audubon High School with the Class of 1963. Following graduation, Nancy moved to Omaha, Nebraska and was employed at a Title Company where she researched and created abstracts, titles, and other documents for a number of years.

On December 5, 1965, she was united in marriage to William Joseph Moore at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon, Iowa. They were blessed with two sons Casey and Corey. Nancy was a stay at home mother until the boys were in school. She then was employed by Marvin Jorgensen in Audubon. Nancy studied and received her commodities license. She then was a Broker for Marvin Jorgensen Heinhold Brokerage for 42 years until she retired. Even though she was retired she still worked part time for a few years.

Nancy was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon. She taught Sunday school and was a confirmation teacher. Nancy and Bill enjoyed Square Dancing. Nancy was an avid Bridge player and she and Bill belonged to several card clubs. She enjoyed playing golf, but most of all she enjoyed being with her family and attending the many family reunions.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers Daryl Jensen and Victor Jensen; her mother-in-law and father-in-law Dorothy and Leslie "Bud" McCune; and her brother-in-law Russell McCune.

Survivors include her husband William J. Moore of Audubon, Iowa; her sons Casey Moore and Corey and wife Dede all of Omaha, Nebraska; her grandchildren Anna Kay Moore of Blair, Nebraska and Tayler Pintore and partner Jared Lee both of Omaha, Nebraska; her three great grandchildren Laylah Lee, Marshall Lee, and Ronin Lee all of Omaha, Nebraska; her sister Emily and husband Ted Aikman of Pleasant, Texas and Norma Rancuzzo of Papillion, Nebraska; her brothers Duane Jensen of Harvey, Louisiana and Mark Jensen of Jacksonville, Florida; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Jean Ann Jensen of Indianola, Iowa, Jean Jensen of Avoca, Iowa, John and wife Teresa McCune of Urbandale, Iowa, Janet and husband Ed Collins and Anna and husband Phil Elmquist all of Audubon, Iowa and Patti McCune of Omaha, Nebraska; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

The family will meet with friends on Sunday afternoon, May 1, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Audubon, Iowa. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Dan Beattie on Monday morning, May 2, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Audubon, Iowa. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Audubon. The casket bearers will be Eric Collins, Zac McCune, Joe Elmquist, Lynn Shoesmith, Wayne Moreland, and Tom Nielsen.
