Stanley "Butch" D. Barnes, 75, of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Holbrook Nursing Home in Buckhannon. He was born on June 8, 1946 in Reynoldsville, WV, the son of the late John Thomas and Edna Marguerite Hunter Barnes.

Butch is survived by three children, Levi Barnes & his wife, Micah of Weston, WV, Jeremy Barnes and wife Alicialyn of Wadsworth, OH and Sarah Barnes of Akron, OH; four step-children, George Riffle of NC, Sonya Lunsford & her husband, Stephen of Weston, WV, Brandon Riffle & his wife, Michelle of Elkins, WV and Jessica Riffle of Jane Lew, WV; ten grandchildren, Kolson, Madison, Michael, Preston, Naomi, Jayco, Bri'Asia, Jaelyn, and Kinslee; seven step-grandchildren, Shelby, Stacey, Cassey, Colleen, Chiane, Marissa, and Addison; siblings Alberta Watkins, North Olmsted, OH, Delores Spencer, Cleveland, OH, Arlene Cottrill, Wolf Summit; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Butch was preceded in death by his wife Linda Mae Barnes; siblings, Carol Estep, Shirley Gibbs, Elizabeth Morris, Linda Mansell, Donald Barnes and Thomas Barnes.

Butch retired from Roadway Trucking as a truck driver for thirty plus years. He was a member of Grace Baptist Temple of Jane Lew. He enjoyed car racing, fishing, hunting ginseng and playing poker.

The family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home on Rt. 98 Clarksburg/ Nutter Fort on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 3-7:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Brown, presiding. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery.
