A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Raymond Bruce Moore and Gladys Swann Moore and was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Christian Moore and brother, Richard Bruce Moore.
He was employed for over 30 years as a Heavy Machine Operator with the Buncombe County Landfill.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Freddie Loretta Rice Moore of the home; daughter, Pamela Moore; son, Michael Moore and wife Darlene; grandchildren, DeShaun Moore and wife Briana, Daryn Moore, L.J. McClain, III and Austin Moore; great-grandchildren, Maddyx, Titan, Lailah and Julian; sisters, Barbara Moore, Frances Juday and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Riverside Baptist Church, Woodfin.
