William Gerald Green, age 79 of Union City, passed away Monday, April 25, 2022 at The Waters.

Funeral service will be held at 11AM Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at White-Ranson Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Neil and Bro. Melvin Poe officiating. Burial will follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely. Visitation will be from 4PM-7PM Tuesday, April 26, 2022 and again before the funeral on Wednesday beginning at 10AM and running until the time of service at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Green was born in East Prairie on December 20, 1942 to the late William Turner and Alta Lorene Castleman Green. He married Betty Joyner Green on October 13, 2007. She survives. He was retired from Kohler. Mr. Green was also the founder and organizer of the Roundhouse Reunion that was held at Reelfoot Lake annually for 30+ years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, James Glenn Green of Union City; five grandchildren, Jack Logan Cord Hastings, Kristyn Shai Nicole Hastings, Kyndal Brooke Ashlyn Hastings, April Denise Brooks and William Patrick Brooks; one great-grandchild, Carson Bentley Levi Fulcher; one son-in-law, Richard Lee Brooks of Union City; and two sisters, Patricia Jowers and her husband Jimmy of Friendship and Devenda Summers of Union City.

Along with his parents, Mr. Green was preceded in death by his first wife, Villa B. Williams Green; his daughter, Angela Faye Brooks; two brothers, J.W. and Dwight Green; and one sister, Wanda Nichols.
