Bobby Howard, 79, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Smith and Rev. Sam Espinoza officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Bobby was born on December 7, 1942 in Tulia to Love and Dolly Howard. He graduated from Tulia High School in 1961.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved wife, Juliana Howard.

He is survived by his son, Jon and daughter-in-law Shelly; his brothers, Ricky Howard of Plainview and Rodney Howard and wife Celeste of Tulia; his grandchildren, Amber and husband Zach Taylor, Alex, and Anabel Howard and three great-grandchildren Jaxson, Lillian, and Karl Taylor.

Bobby was well known in the Tulia community. He was an insurance agent and had a life long love of Tulia. He always emphasized how important it is to buy locally. Preserving business in Tulia was a priority. He was an avid golfer in his earlier years. He sat on the board at Tule Creek Country Club and played any chance he had. His love and joy was his family. He instilled the importance of hard work and having a good work ethic yet was thrilled to spoil his grandchildren at any turn. Bobby was kind and generous. He had many friends and would not have hesitated to lend a helping hand if it was ever needed. His kindness and passion for life lives on through his family.
