Richard was a proud member of Local Four and helped build many of the roads throughout southeastern New England. He was an avid reader, family Fact Man and loved playing cards. He was a passionate golfer, had 3 hole in one's with bragging rights that his son in laws had none. Richard was also a talented bowler boasting six 300 games, again, family members none. To say he was competitive is an understatement, he would crush you with a twinkle in his eye and a sly grin. Tough New England winters brought out the hero in him. He would spend many hours outdoors , snow blower in hand, generously clearing neighbors driveways while accepting a warm banana bread or two for his kindness. He was an incredibly spirited human, larger than life with a booming voice that could still make three grown daughters stop dead in their tracks.
He is loved, he will be missed and surely be remembered by everyone with a story or two.
