Martha (Walton/Randolph) Caldwell peacefully transitioned on Holy Thursday, April 14, 2022, in her home, at the age of 95. Born in Powhatan, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth (Taylor) Walton and Alvah Johnson Walton. There she met and married, the late Robert Randolph, and they relocated to Wilmington, Delaware, in 1945. From that union 3 daughters were born, Ernestine, Barbara and Karen Randolph.

Later she met and married the love of her life, the late Frank Caldwell. Together they owned and operated several successful businesses, including Caldwell's Refuse Service, which was later purchased by her daughter, Karen, in 1985. Martha continued to use her expertise to assist with her daughter's business, K.R.C. Waste Management, Inc.

Martha, a devoted Christian, was an active member of Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church. She was a Missionary, served on the Hospitality Ministry, and later earned the title as 'Mother' of the church. Martha was an excellent cook loved to spoil her grands, and every Friday you found her at the beauty parlor sprucing up her hair. She loved to travel, spending winters, with her husband, in Florida and weekends entertaining at their beach home.

Preceded in death by her husband, siblings (Henry, Nannie, Earl, Herman and Alvah Jr), stepsons James Frank and Charles and stepdaughter Dora. She leaves to cherish in loving memory her three daughters, her brother Mitchell (Barbara) Walton, three stepsons Harry (Maria) McClelland, Frankie (Gladiola) Maddrey and Anthony Maddrey, two step daughters Frankie (Serge) Albert and Elizabeth Caldwell and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
