Kristen Lynn Williams, 47, Jonesboro, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Monday, April 7, 1975, to William and Joyce (Turner) Williams.

Kristen graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1993 and attended Ball State University. She worked at McDonald's, where she was a manager.

Kristen was involved in sports from an early age. She played basketball in elementary school and was involved in gymnastics, cheerleading, and dancing. She coached softball and basketball and was a member of the Skippers Double-Dutch team. Kristen also loved being outdoors, working in the garden, boating, and traveling. She was a wonderful cook, and she loved to read and do crafts. She will especially be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor.

She will be greatly missed by her mother, Joyce Williams of Gas City; daughters, Destinee Edwards of Marion and Kassidy Fritch of Sweetser; brother, Billy Williams of Palm Springs, CA; granddaughter, Xochitl Alvarez-Edwards; aunts, Sharon (Harold) Williams and Judy Malone; uncles, Jim Turner and Chris (Diana) Williams; several cousins; and boyfriend, Corey Croucher.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Williams.

The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Kristen's life will begin at 12:00 noon with Pastor Paul McPhearson officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
