Martha (Walton/Randolph) Caldwell

Martha Caldwell peacefully transitioned on Holy Thursday, April 14, 2022, in her home, at the age of 95. She was the daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth (Taylor) Walton and Alva Johnson Walton. In 1945, she married, the late Robert Randolph and from that union 3 daughters were born: Ernestine, Barbara, and Karen Randolph. Martha married the late Frank Caldwell in 1967. Together, they owned and operated several successful businesses, including Caldwell's Refuse Service, which was later purchased by her daughter, Karen. Martha continued to use her expertise to assist with her daughter's business, K.R.C. Waste Management, Inc. Martha was an active member of Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church. She was an excellent cook, the perfect hostess, loved spoiling her grands, and every Friday was at the beauty parlor sprucing up her hair. Preceded in death by her husband, 5 siblings, stepsons: James Frank and Charles and stepdaughter: Dora. She leaves to cherish in loving memory three daughters, brother Mitchell (Barbara) Walton, three stepsons Harry (Maria) McClelland, Frankie (Gladiola) Maddrey and Anthony Maddrey, two stepdaughters Frankie (Serge) Albert and Elizabeth Caldwell, and a host of grands, great grands, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church at 28 Meadowbrook Ave, Wilm, DE 19804 or to your favorite charity in her memory. Services will be at Congo Legacy Center at 501 W. 28th St., Wilm, DE 19802 on Sunday, May 1, 2022. Viewing from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, Celebration of Life at 5 PM and Repast following. Burial will be at Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery at 2465 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear, DE 19701 on Monday, May 2nd at 10 AM."
