Pat was born on October 14, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois. He married Charlotte Stewart on June 5, 1971 in Newport, Rhode Island.
He was a true patriot, serving 20 years in the United States Navy as a Bosun's Mate. He enjoyed competing in triathlons, bowling, horseshoes, and singing karaoke with friends. Pat endeared himself to a close group of friends by saying what he thought and meaning what he said.
Pat is survived by his wife, Charlotte; son Shawn (Kimberly) Ryan, and their two daughters; and siblings, Bob and Mary Ryan, Dan and Lola Ryan, and John and Cookie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Anna Ryan; brother Jim Ryan; twin-sister Patsy Girondi; and sisters Peggy, Clara, and Kathleen.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the incredibly caring staffs at the Wisconsin Rapids Aspirus Cancer Center and ICU.
A funeral mass will be celebrated for Pat at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Fr. Robert Schaller will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation for Pat will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 24 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. A rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. There will also be a visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
