James "Jim" Vincent Grant passed away on Friday April 15th, 2022 at his home.
Jim was born May 19th,1948 in Parsons, Kansas to the late Leslie and Mary Grant.
Jim attended school in Parsons and enjoyed growing up in the "Wye" of Parsons where he made many lifelong friends. Especially "Little Joe" Alvarez, and cousin JJ Hernandez. Jim's first job following school was with Cable Vision traveling across the country. Returning to Parsons to work with Sprigg Construction where he learned the trade of a concrete finisher.

Jim married Diane Hill and they moved to Eudora where he worked for Tony's Imported Cars and International Tractor Supply. A son, Terry Lee was born. The marriage later ended.

Jim then moved to Louisville, Kentucky where he worked for McCauley & PoPP Construction. He became an entrepreneur of multiple side businesses which we won't list! Jim married Darlene Thomas. Another son Kennedy James was born. The marriage later ended.

Jim moved back to Kansas where he continued his construction career with Bartec Construction doing flat work. During his career with Bartec Jim traveled all over the United States building over 100 McDonald's restaurants. Meeting Leslie Bloxham while living back in Eudora, they married and had two children. A daughter, Jamie Jo and a son, Shane "Bubba" Edison.

Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with friends and family. Jim also loved to arm wrestle and he took second place in a Wide World Sports competition. Jim was also a collector of many things like coins and pocket knives, and had a love for old cars as well.

Surviving is his wife, Leslie; his children, Jamie Grant-Hamm Eudora, Shane (Tarin), Westminster, CO, Terry Lee (Cassandra), Miami, OK, Kennedy (Kim), Louisville, KY, Bill (Audra) Yager, Little Rock, AR, Jamie (Joe) Legerski Jr, Salt Lake City, UT; grandchildren; Jaden, Sayge, Sayda, Jayden, Rylee, Hunter, Mylela, Maddox, Ziva, Zane, Madison and Joseph III; one brother, Larry (Terry) Spring Hill, KS; sister, Patti (Tom) Orosco Eudora, KS. Nephew, Tony (Amber) Olathe, KS; nieces, Tina, Spring Hill, KS, Shelly (Tim) Barrett, Spring Hill, KS, and a multitude of cousins in Parsons, KS, Kansas City, KS, and Baltimore, MD.

Memorial services for Jim will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel in Eudora, KS. The family will greet friends beginning at 2 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the Eudora Chapel.

A private family Rosary will be held at 1:30 p.m. prior to the visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
