Michelle Estes Harris
December 1943 - April 2022

With sadness, love, and profound gratitude, the family of Michelle Estes Harris announces her loss of life, encompassed in peace and love, in the early morning of April 20, 2022.

In December of 1943, Michelle Estes Harris, a Metairie resident, was the first of three children born to Forsee 'Jack' Estes and Lena Mae Treadaway Estes, of Destrehan.

Throughout Michelle's life, she was not only loved and adored by her parents, siblings, and friends, she also grew to become a sacred part of those whose hearts she filled with love, hopes, and dreams as an aunt, cousin, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

We will miss the beautifully-crafted, kind, and devoted woman who enriched our lives; being made better by her presence.

Michelle greatly mourned those who preceded her in death: Doyle Harris, Sr, John Estes, Sr, Forsee Estes, Lena Mae Treadaway Estes, Guy 'Todd' Tumminello, Doyle Harris, Jr, Damian Wise, and John Estes, Jr.

Michelle, 'Mikey', is survived by Darlene (Danny) Wise, Thad (Stacy) Tumminello, Cheree Harris, and Cheresse Harris.

Forever remembering their 'Momee' are twelve grandchildren: Michelle (Joshua) Haydel, Justin (Ashleigh) Tumminello, Blake Tumminello, Breanna (Derek) Adams, Heaven (Noah) Terry, Kodi (Shelby) Peck, Terra Harris, Randy (Elizabeth) Tumminello, Cameron Tumminello, Reece Wiegand, Mattie Wiegand, & Summer Jacob. In addition to nine great-grandchildren who love her immensely: Kaia, Evelyn, Rin, Greyson, Bowen, Hope, Bradley, Wade, and Baker.

Michelle's memory will forever live on in the hearts of Danielle (Eddie) Hymel, Dane (Melissa) Wise, Amy (Brad) Tyler, their families, her extended family and friends.

May her gentle spirit, family focused, and unconditional love live on in us all.

In celebration of her life, a memorial will be held in honor of Michelle Estes Harris with relatives and friends invited to attend. It will be held at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Boulevard, Kenner on Thursday, April 28, 2022. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m.
