On March 11, 1944 she married the love of her life and best friend, Harry H. Craig. The two shared a blessed union of 70 years together.
Margaret retired from G.E./Genicom. She was the oldest member of Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren, Waynesboro. She was a faithful servant of God and known to everyone as Nanny Craig. She loved camping and her trips to the Bay Haven in Reidsville, VA
In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her husband and her son Harry Lee Craig.
Survived by her four children, Mary Ann Burke, James E. Craig and wife, Darlene, Timmy Craig and companion Kay, Jeffrey Craig; Grandchildren, Roxanne Brown & Husband Kenny, Tony Lam, Sharon Davis & husband Charlie, David Alford & wife Lisa, Mike Alford and wife Mary, Jennifer Monterrozo, Chris Craig and fiancé Heather, Dustin Craig and wife Franchesca, Justin Craig and wife Lindsey, Brandon Craig and wife Katelyn; Great-Grandchildren, Whitney Brown, Stephen, Jason Brown and fiancé Stephanie, Chasity Fitzgerald and husband Brian, Brad Lam and wife Amber, Daniel Hemp, Megan, Emilee Lam and husband Preston, P.J. She was blessed with wonderful caregivers, Wanda Grogg, Pearlie Snead and Patty Fraley. The family is thankful for the care provided by Legacy Hospice Nurses, Diane Kudrow and Danny Davis.
She is also survived by her beloved cat, Gracie.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday April 26, 2022 at 2 PM at the Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren with Pastors Mike Wood and Gary Major officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Weyers Cave. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5 until 7 PM at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
