Besides being preceded in death by his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Carol White Gorman; brother, Arthur White, his son, Carey Paul White, daughter-in-law, Susan White and great-granddaughter Abigail Pettett.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 74 years, Bernice Denison White; son, Ken Daron White (Jane); son, Craig Daniel White (Susan-deceased); daughter, Paula Jane Pettett (Robert); daughter-in-law, Gail Hughes White (Carey-deceased). He has 13 grandchildren, Kellie White McGarry; Matthew White; Timothy White; Nathan White; Daniel White; David White; Joshua Pettett; Stephen Pettett; Hannah Pettett Rojas; James Pettett; Luke Pettett; Benjamin Pettett; Rebecca Pettett and 20 great- grandchildren.
Paul and Bernice were members of Northside Park Baptist Church in Atlanta for all of their married life. He was choir director and deacon there for many years. Paul was an active member of the Gideons and enjoyed distributing Bibles. He spent a long career as an insurance salesman. Family was important to Paul and he loved his family very much. He also loved singing and playing his harmonica. Paul will always be in our hearts and we will deeply miss him, but we take solace in the thought that he (who loved to sing) is now singing to the Lord in the heavenly choir! "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."
