Nancy Jo Kinder, daughter of the late Luther and Erma Irene Cox, was born November 6, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on March 18, 2010, at the age of 71 years, 4 months and 12 days.
Mrs. Kinder had lived in the Advance, Bell City and Painton area until moving to Sikeston, Missouri five years ago. She had attended the Bell City Baptist Church. She had worked as a shipping clerk at Lowe's Southern Clay before her retirement.
In 1956 she was married to Arthur Kinder.
Surviving are one son and daughter in law, Keith & Sherry Kinder of Sikeston, Missouri; one daughter, Pamela Kinder of Sikeston, Missouri; five grandchildren, Chris White, Bridget Kinder Johnson, Bobby Lee White, April Kinder Wagner, Tyler Lee Kinder; seven great grandchildren, Courtney White, Dylan White, Jasmine White, Jacob White, Tyran Johnson, Jeremiah Wagner, Julia Wagner; four brothers, Eugene Cox of Wappapello, Missouri, Dale Cox of Marietta, Georgia, James L. Cox of Fairfield, Illinois, David Cox of Bell City, Missouri; six sisters, Barbara Head of Painton, Missouri, Mary Mier of Fairfield, Illinois, Linda Cox of St. Louis, Missouri, Donna Lashley of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Mildred Vandeven of Leopold, Missouri and Rita Cox of Bell City, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Sandy Christine White and Sarah Renea Kinder Jones; three brothers, Thomas, Ronald and Larry Cox; and one sister, Rebecca Cox.
Friends may call on Saturday, March 20, 2010, after 12:00 PM at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at 2:00 PM in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. Ted Stone of Bell City, Missouri officiating.
Interment will be in the Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
