Barbara Lee Elizabeth Arnold (nee Santel) died peacefully after being ill for several months on March 20, 2022 at the age of 76. Barb is survived by her 4 children, Melissa (Tony) Denier, David (Kimberly) Arnold, Sarah (John) Humphrey, and Josh (Vera) Arnold. She is the devoted Grandma and Grammy of Ryan, Nick, Kyra, and Elena Ecton; David, Madeline, Evelyn, Vivian, and Walter Arnold; John Humphrey IV; Ella and Louisa Arnold. She is survived by the father of her children David (Pat) Arnold. Barb is also survived by many dear friends, notably Silvana Sabato. She is the loving sister of Tim Santel and Walter Overbeck (deceased). She is survived by numerous cousins, notably Nancy Salzer and Marsha Higgins. Barb is preceded in death by her parents and step-mother, Jean and Walter (Rita) Santel.

Barb was born in Fort Sam Houston, Texas while her father served in the military but lived most of her life in Cincinnati. She was a proud West Side resident and attended St.Teresa Grade School, Seton High School, and the College of Mount St. Joseph. She was dedicated to helping others and pursued careers in nursing, counseling, and massage therapy.

Barb lived a life of generosity and freely gave of her time, skills, and friendship to anyone in need. She loved her family and was devoted to her father, Walter (Ossie) in the final years of his life. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of gardening, reading, visiting with friends and the occasional card game. She loved the beach and enjoyed traveling there with family and friends. She was deeply spiritual and her faith sustained her in difficult times.
