SULPHUR -- Services for Troy Wayne Flowers, 55, were 2 p.m. Saturday at Clagg Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Cannon officiating. Interment followed at Iona Cemetery.

Born April 15, 1944, at Sulphur to Jessie James and Beulah Brownfield Flowers, he died Jan. 6, 2000, at Ada. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Albert Flowers, and two sisters, Margaret Delisle and Patsy Howard.

He married Mary McCulley. Flowers was a Vietnam veteran and served in the National Guard for 24 years. He had lived in the area most of his life and worked as a carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; three daughters, Kathy Flowers, Sulphur, Fredda Mester, Durant, and Sandy Campbell, Edmond; one son, Terry Flowers, Sulphur; two stepdaughters, Billie Bolin, Stratford, and Rebecca Allen, Tupelo; one step-son, Steve McCulley, Vannoss; three brothers, Denver Flowers, Ada, and Frank and L.A. Flowers, both Sulphur; three sisters, Juanita Wieber, Arizona, Loretta Porter, Ardmore, and Dorothy Cottie, Moore; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Bearers were Tony Gordon, Jerry Campbell, Terry Dodson, Johnny Mester, Donald Green and John Mester. Honorary bearer was John Atteberry.
