Mom, Sis, Bubbles, Coach Karen, or Ms. Karen, was a woman of many hats. She was known by many and loved by all. She taught how to love, play, and believe like a child. It was never dull or boring if she was in the room. She was a ray of sunshine. She was always smiling and had a joke on hand. She had a degree in Sign Language Interpreting for the Deaf and a degree in Computer Information Systems Management. She was the owner and coach at the Sheridan Athletic Center. She worked many years at Gym Dandy. She also had a passion to help with Vacation Bible School. Through all these chapters in her life she was honored to influence many generations of children here in Grant County. Her 2 greatest passions were talking about Jesus to everyone she met, no matter her circumstances, and being the best "Bubbles" she could to her grandkids for the past 14 years. One of her wishes was her girls (DIL's) and boys to be at her side as the grand's played in the yard while she went to be with our Savior Jesus.
Bubbles went home to be with her Lord, Friday, April 22, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family, at the age of 61.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Kristopher and Shannon Rutherford and Kyle and Frankie Rutherford; grandchildren, Reese, Hadley, Jaxton, and Jonah; brothers, Tommy Thompson (Debbie), Mark Thompson; nephews Sam Thompson (Ivette), Daniel Thompson.
