Michael E. Gallagher, 64, of Allentown, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. He and his wife, Debra A. (Loch) Gallagher, shared 46 years of marriage.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Edward L. and Monica (King) Gallagher. Mike was a graduate of Dieruff High School. He worked in sales for various companies in the Lehigh Valley and was also a driver at Herr's Chips for many years, until retiring in 2009. Mike was an active volunteer at the VFW Post #2124 in Allentown. He was a 4th Degree Knight, Past Grand Knight and member of the Knights of Columbus Council #528. Mike enjoyed playing bocce, pool, bowling, Texas Hold 'Em, going to the casino and singing karaoke.
Survivors: His loving wife, Debra; daughter, Jacqueline M. Ortiz and her husband Jose of Allentown; son, Michael "Mickey" Gallagher of Allentown; sisters, Monica Dronenberg, Mandy Moser and Maureen Gallagher; brother, Edward Gallagher; 2 grandchildren, Grace and Allen.
Services: A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc., 46 E. Susquehanna Street, Allentown. A viewing for relatives and friends will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery, Allentown.
