SHORT PUMP, Va. -- Memorial services for former Ardmore resident Louis James Munday, 67, Rockville, Va., will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Shady Grove United Methodist Church in Short Pump, Va.

Munday passed away Monday, Jan. 3, 2000.

A 1955 graduate of Oklahoma State University, he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean conflict. He was a retired highway and building project manager, and member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Cohenour Munday; four daughters, Cynthia Blandin of Frederick, Md., Deborah Warren of Richmond, Va., Margaret "Sunny" Estes of Chesterfield, Va., and Karol Hammond of Haysville, Kan.; a son, John Scott Munday of Glen Allen, Va.; a brother, Bob Munday of Phoenix, Ariz.; nine grandchildren, Wesley Robertson, Nicole Munday, Ryan Munday, Joshua Estes, Hillary Estes, Danielle Blandin, Nick Hammond, Brittany Hammond and Julie Hammond.; and two great-grandchildren, Michael James and Logan.

Memorials may be made to Short Pump United Methodist Church Building Fund, Pouncey Tract Road, Short Pump, VA 23060.
