Prominent Lodi Antique Dealer Taken By Death
Mrs. Celeste Koch, a widely known antique dealer and clubwoman died yesterday evening after a long illness. She was 61. She was the owner of Celeste's Antiques at 400 E. Elm St., where she and her husband, John C. Koch, also made their home. She had dealt in antiques and gifts here for the past 15 years. Mrs. Koch was a native of Illinois, and had lived in Stockton before moving to Lodi. She was a member of the Lodi Woman's Club, past president of the Lodi American Legion Auxiliary's "8 and 40" Chapter, and member of the Morning Star Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Stockton.
Besides her husband, survivors include two children, Mrs. Alice Hughes of Stockton and Monte Koch of Los Angeles. She was the sister of Lee Bower, Grants Pass Ore.; Mrs. Areta Rovetti, Reno; and Mrs. Ethel Wheeler of Twin Falls, Idaho; and the grandmother of Mrs. Bonnie Iloward and Andrew Hughes, both of Stockton, and Robinette Koch of Los Angeles. Two great grandchildren, also survive.
Committal services at Park View Mausoleum.
