Peggy Jones, 86, of Brentwood, TN and formerly of Hopkinsville, KY died Thursday Morning, April 21, 2022 at Canterfield of Franklin.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with the Rev. Wade Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Newland, NC she was born January 19, 1936 the daughter of the late Dayton Charles Davenport and Ethel Beatrice Waycaster Davenport. She attended Loyall High School in Loyall, KY located in Harlan County. She and her husband, Jack Jones, owned and operated the local Exxon Oil Distributorship in Hopkinsville, KY where she served as the bookkeeper of the business. She was a member of First Christian Church. Peggy Jones was an avid duplicate bridge player, having achieved the rank of Life Master.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Jack D. Jones; and her brothers: Charles Davenport, Richard Davenport, Bill Davenport, and Gary Davenport.

Survivors include her son: Mark (Lisa) Jones of Franklin, TN; her daughter: Laura Jones of Hopkinsville, KY; and her grandchildren: Jessica Jones, Dylan Jones, and Rachel Jones.
