McRae Adams retired accountant and musician McRae Adams, 80, of Rickay Drive, a retired accountant and musician, died Monday of cancer at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital. Services are 2 p.m. today at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson, with burial in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 9 a.m. until service time. Mr. Adams, a Bolton native, had lived in Jackson for 70 years. He was a member of Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran and a member of the American Legion. He was a graduate of Central High School and attended the University of Mississippi. He played the trumpet, and performed on many early radio studio orchestras. In the mid 1930s he travelled to New York where he played with several bands. He also played in several local bands. He was an accountant for Holiday Inns. There were no immediate survivors.
