Joe Albro (Wendell) was born March 23, 1936 in Tuscola and passed on April 1 2022 in Gainesville.
Joe was a country boy that grew up in Tuscola and Abilene and was the only child of Audravee D. and Johnnie Bell (Cowley) Albro.
Mr. Albro met his wife of 66 years Carol Ann (Sanders) Albro in Roscoe and together they had 3 children. During the children's younger years, he worked with a short-line railroad company and Mrs. Baird Bakeries, but it was his work in insurance that brought his family to settle in Gainesville. Many years later, after years of antique shopping together, he opened Carousel Antique Mall on the square and enjoyed running it for many years. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church.
Joe is survived by his wife Carol; son and daughter-in-law Doug and Darla Albro; son Mark Albro; granddaughter and her husband Kacie and Cody Methner; great-grandsons Trevor Buell and Cash Methner; many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Albro was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Sandy, and grandson Travis Banks.
A memorial service for Joe will be held May 13, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church. A graveside will be held in Tuscola at a later date.
