CARMON L. GREENWOOD, 73, of Elkhart, Texas, formerly a lifelong resident of Houston, died July 22, 1983. Mr. Greenwood retired from Great Southern Life Insurance Co. after 40 years of service. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, Palestine, Texas. He was a US Army veteran. Survivors: Wife, Frances Samuell Greenwood, Elkhart, Texas: son and daughter-in-law, sisters, Mrs. Whit Williams, Mrs. Ecta Walters, both of Elkhart, Texas: two grandsons. Funeral Services were held Monday, July 25, 1983. Interment Forest Park Lawndale. Honorary pallbearers, Quarter Century Club, Members of Great Southern Life Insurance Co. For those desiring, contributions may be made to Blue Bird Circle Children's Clinic, Methodist Hospital, The First United Methodist Church of Palestine or the Charity of your choice.
