Betty June (Cook) Adkins, 88, of Fort Smith went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 21, 2022.
There to meet her was her husband, Charles Adkins, five of her baby boys, Patrick, Stanley, Vaughn, Wayne and David, her brothers Paul and David Cook, her sister, Shirley Bruce and her Mom and Dad, Paul Cook, Sr and Lessie Davis Cook Huggins.
She leaves behind only living son, Jerry Shelton (wife Sabrena) of Clarksville, AR, her daughter Sherri Tickler (husband Mike) of Ft Smith, another daughter Mary Flurry of Van Buren, AR and daughter in-law Sherry Shelton of Hartman, AR. She was a SUPER GRANDMA to 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was also the favorite aunt to her nieces and nephews and also Mom and Grandma to any and all that knew her. She loved the Lord 1st and her babies next. She was a member of Northside Church of Christ.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Lewis Funeral Chapel 4817 Kelley Hwy in Fort Smith with Pastor Grady Rice officiating. Interment will be at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Shelton, A.J. Godwin, Brent Edwards, Rusty Edwards, Randy Bearden and Wesley Shearburn.
