Ricardo Ramirez, born on May 23, 1930, to Nieves Ramirez Sr. and Teresa Ayala in Sullivan City, entered into eternal rest on Monday April 11th, 2022 in McAllen, Texas at the age of 91. He is preceded in death by both of is parents and his sibling: Rogelio Ramirez, Ofelia Ramirez De Rodriguez, Reynaldo Ramirez, and Tere Ramirez Gomez. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife: Manuela Ramirez and his adoring children: Rogiberto Ramirez, Ricardo Ramirez Jr., Richard Ramirez, Rigoberto Ramirez, Rebecca Ramirez, Julio Ramirez, Gladys Ramirez, Roxanne Ramirez, and Robert Ramirez. He will also be greatly missed by his siblings: Celia Ramirez, Argelia Garza, Aida Gutierrez, Nieves Ramirez Jr., Rumaldo Ramirez 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Ricardo proudly served his country during the Korean War. During the 50's, he was a police SGT for the Mission Police Department and eventually worked as head of security for Stanford University. Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Tuesday April 19th, 2022 from 5PM to 9PM, with a 7:00PM Rosary, at The Lord and I Funeral Home in Peñitas, Texas. A chapel service will be conducted at 8:45am on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Lord and I Funeral Home in Penitas. Interment, with full military honors, will follow at 10:00am at The Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
