Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Indian Springs Baptist Church and the burial will follow in Indian Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Edward Stephens; mother, Johnnie Blackwell Stephens; brother-in-law, Chester Ladner; daughter-in-law, Denise Stephens.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Annelle Stephens; sons, Jeff Stephens (Donna) and Bruce Stephens (Kim); daughter, Deann Rose (Melton); grandsons, Bradley Stephens (Erica), Judd Stephens (Kayla), Duel Stephens (Morgan), Tyler Stephens (Candace), Trevor Tupy (Ashley), Josh Tupy, Matt Rose, Michael Rose, and Brandon Rose; granddaughters, Allyson Hilton (Matt), Emily McLaurin, Melanie McLaurin, and Katie Johnson; twenty-one great grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way; sisters, Carolyn Ladner and Paula Linden (Jeff); as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Stephens, Judd Stephens, Duel Stephens, Tyler Stephens, Matt Hilton, and David Barry.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Indian Springs Baptist Church.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Deaconness Health Services and his compassionate nurse, Danielle Berard, as well as, Lovingcare Senior Services, and their jewel of a caregiver, Betty Rogers.
