Mr. John Henry James Sr. was born June 20, 1957., to the late John Samuel James and Essie Lee (Boyd) James in the Bookman Community of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He departed this life to rest on April 16, 2022, while resting at home in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

John was a member of the St. Paul AME Church where he accepted Jesus Christ at an early age.

John loved to hunt and spend time with family and friends. He was employed with Waste Management and as a construction worker until he became disabled.

John is preceded in death by his Dad, John Samuel James; Mother, Essie Lee Boyd James; and his sister Joyce A Johnson.

He leaves to cherish her memories, one son, John Henry James Jr; His daughter Stephine L. James, four sisters, Lou E. (James) Lambert, Vivian Thomas and Sharon Jones , all of Monticello, AR; Rose (James) Wiggins of Little Rock, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral Services will be 10:00a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church with Minister Rose Wiggins Eulogist and Welton Boyce officiating. Interment will be in Saint Paul Church Cemetery by Paradise Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.

Walk-Through viewing will be 5:00pm-6:00pm on Friday at Paradise Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
