Daughter of Georgia Azzie-Lee Mealer Worley and George Worley. She married her first husband, Bobby Ward, in 1967; they were divorced in 1975. She married Gary Wheeler in 1977 and moved to Cumming, GA. She earned her certificate to begin her career as a chiropractor's assistant, and worked for Dr. Silas Brown, Dr. Phillips, Dr. Paul Chandler, and Dr. Clayton Williams. She retired to care for her sister, Geneva Worley. She and Gary moved to Lawrenceville in 2006 and to Dawsonville in 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Geneva Worley, several half siblings, great granddaughter, Natalie Holley; and previous husband, Bobby Ward. Surviving are her husband of almost 45 years, Gary Wheeler; children, Sheila and Cory Stansell and Chris Ward; grandchildren, Georgia and Josh Holley, Ella Grace Stansell, Callie Jean Stansell; great grandchildren, Noah and Hopelynn Holley; and sister, Dorothy West.
