Lois Jean (MacDonald) Yates, Green Bay passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022. She was born August 16, 1932, in Green Bay to Ranald and Ruby (Zettel) MacDonald.

Lois was a lifetime resident of Green Bay and graduated from West High School in 1952. She married William "Bill" Yates on July 2, 1955 in CA. Together they moved to Green Bay in 1957 and had five children. Lois worked and retired from the State of Wisconsin Unemployment Office. After retiring in 1990 she began traveling. She traveled to England, to Scotland, Greece, Egypt, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Spain. Lois and Bill traveled all over the U.S. in her motor home, Door County was very special to her. She made many visits to Peninsula State Park over the years. Lois enjoyed history and her family genealogy. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, member of The Mayflower Society, The Brown County Antiquarian Society, and a member of the Republican Party in Brown County. She spent 25 years as the head of the makeup department at the St. Norbert College Summer Theater. Where she met her great friends, in the "kiss and make-up" department, Bill, Bev, Jim, and Mike

She is survived by her husband, Bill; children, Michael (Joan) Yates, Terri (Greg) Garfield, Catherine (Michael) Kirschling, and Alison Heuvelmans; grandchildren, Michael (Renae), Kendall (Obadiah), Leah (Jon), Garrett, Austin, Eddie, Joe, Randy, Erik, Sarah; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Patricia (Paul) Janowski, Cheri (John) MacDonald, and Mary (James) Becker; daughter-in-law, Sandy Yates; sister-in-law, Elaine MacDonald; lifelong friends, Pria, Mary, and Lorraine.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; son, William "Billy;" brothers, Robert "Bob" MacDonald and Willard "Bill" (Tess) McDonald; son-in-law, Randal Welhouse and John Heuvelmans.

Friends and family will gather St. Jude Catholic Church, 1420 Division St., from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 23; Mass of the Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
