Joey "Shane" Spivey passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022 at his home in De Kalb, Texas. He was 59.
Shane was born September 25, 1962 in Texarkana, Texas to James Glen and Linda Jo Arnold Spivey. He was the owner of Spivey Rentals. Shane was an avid fan of Nascar and the Dallas Cowboys. He was a member of Austin Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by one son, Nicholas Spivey of De Kalb, Texas; one daughter, Adriene Strain of De Kalb, Texas; one brother, Shenandoah Spivey of De Kalb, Texas; five grandchildren, Alexia Gibbs, Taylor Spivey, Aryn Spivey, Aidan Spivey, and Max Spivey; his friend, Rick Hawkins of Texarkana, Texas; one niece, Brooke Miller of De Kalb, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Wooden Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home with Robby Bates officiating
