Lesley Kara Johnson, 33 of Louisville Kentucky, departed this life on Friday, January 13th, 2012 at Norton Hospital in Louisville KY. Born on August 2, 1978 at Logan, she was the daughter of Patricia Ann Woods Johnson and the late Clifford Harold Johnson.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Isom and Ethel Johnson and her maternal grandfather, Claude Woods.
Lesley was a loving daughter, mother, sister and friend. She attended Man and Gilbert schools and the School of Cosmetology of Wyoming County, and was a Cosmetologist at Signatures. Lesley was of the Church of God Faith, and loved spending time with her wonderful family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Lesley and to mourn her passing include her two daughters, Alexis Page and Jaylan Kya Johnson of the home; her mother, Patricia Ann Woods Johnson of Louisville KY; her step-mother, Henrietta Johnson of Baisden; her sister, Angela Ann Sos of Louisville KY; her step-sister, Heather Poe of Beckley; her step-brother, Richard Laney of Baisden; her two special nieces: Sabrina and Kaitlyn Johnson both of Baisden; her maternal grandmother, Clara Woods; and a host of other dear family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbert on Wednesday, January 18th from 12 Noon to 1:00 pm.
Funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 18th at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shaun Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Clifford Johnson Family Cemetery at Baisden.
Lesley will be carried to her final resting place by: Stewart Johnson, Randy Johnson, Richie Laney, Glen Poe, Isom Johnson and Roger Dingess.
