Survivors include two children, Timothy (Susan) Loehrke of Warren and Jeffrey (Joyce) Loehrke of Ottawa; five grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Loehrke; and two siblings, Victor Showalter and Lynne Hufziger.
Carol was a paraprofessional with special needs children for Westlake Schools and Erie-Ottawa County Schools in Westlake, Huron, and Port Clinton. She loved to laugh and always said that she lived a good life with faith, family and friends. One of her favorite scriptures was from 2 Timothy4:7, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith".
Funeral service will begin 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2022, at New Creation Lutheran Church, Ottawa with Rev. Ken Pollitz officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. in Sackett Cemetery, Danbury, 7682 N. Eastwood Ave, Lakeside Marblehead, Ohio 43440.
Arrangements are under the direction of Love Funeral Home, Ottawa.
