The world lost a beloved mother and sister, Mickey White, on April 17, 2022.

Mickey battled many illnesses, but it never stopped her from giving out a warm smile, joyful laugh, and the greatest hugs. Mickey died at home surrounded by her family who loved her dearly. Mickey was born in East St Louis, Saint Clair, Illinois on January 19, 1950. She was one of twenty-one children born to Clarence and Betty (nee Patterson) Hart. She spent the past 40 years living in Flippin, Arkansas raising her children and loving her grandchildren.

Mickey could wield a wooden spoon like swordman when needed or kiss your forehead and tell you it would be ok. She could sit and read scripture with a heartfelt voice like an angel or play a hand of poker like an outlaw ready to clean the table of its quarters. We never heard a cross word from her growing up and when I was older, my jaw hit the floor when she was imitating a sailor at a family game of Double-Deck Pinochle.

One cannot move a mountain and one could not move this this woman when she set her mind to something. Mickey was someone who listened compassionately, gave advice from the heart, and stood strong for you when you could not. She would give out her last dollar or can of food if it meant helping someone in need. The world will be a little sadder with her gone and Heaven will gain a loving soul.

Preceded in death by: Parents, one sister, one brother, ex-husband, and one daughter.

Survivors: One son, Daniel (Jennifer) White, one daughter, Susan White, nine grandchildren, seven sisters, and eleven brothers.
