Whitney Galen Simmons, 71,of Hershey, passed away in his home on April 18, 2022. He was born August 18, 1950 in Hershey, a son of the late Galen Simmons and Mary (Murphy) Simmons currently of Hershey. In addition to his Mother, surviving is his son, Ian W. Simmons; his former wife,Beth (Hoover) Simmons; brother, Sterl Simmons, sister, Gail (Emil) Bunc and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Savannah Deimler; niece and nephew, Ariel and Whitney Simmons Whitney was a 1969 graduate of Hershey High School, served in the Army National Guard, former co-owner of the Union Canal House Restaurant and most recently assisted in operating the Simmons Motel in Hershey. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 25th at 11am in the Spring Creek Church of the Brethren, 335 East Areba Avenue, Hershey. Visitation will be from 10am until time of service.
