Carolyn was born to Annibale and Rose Rainone on July 1, 1953, in Queens, NY. She was raised in Ozone Park where she attended Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Mary Gate of Heaven, for elementary school and was graduated from John Adams High School. Carolyn became a secretary with an incredible talent in stenography, and worked at ITT. While employed at ITT, she met her future husband Frank. Carolyn and Frank were married a few years later and had two children, Jackie and Michael. After taking time off to raise her children, Carolyn returned to work for Nassau County. She retired in 2017. Carolyn was an avid collector of Christmas ornaments and took great pride in how beautiful her tree looked each year. She also had an interest in archaeology. She had an opportunity to see both the King Tut and Cleopatra exhibits with her children. Carolyn will be greatly missed and leaves behind her daughter Jackie, son Michael, sister Joann (Chris), niece Angela, nephew David and nephew Chris. She is predeceased by her husband Frank, parents Annibale and Rose and sisters Rosemarie and Marian.
