Michael grew up in Springdale. He attended Springdale High School and later obtained his GED in Springdale. He was well liked and popular and he made friends easily. He worked as a handyman who was known to be able to fix anything. He owned and operated a carpet cleaning business for many years. As a teenager and young adult, Mike loved riding motorcycles and driving fast cars as well as his artwork. He had a good sense of humor, and he had a strong love for his kids and grandson. He was a Christian and attended Immanuel Baptist Church while living in Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include one son, Michael W Byrd, III of Hulbert, Oklahoma; Shayne Elise Smith (Hotrod) of Fayetteville; one grandson, Hezekiah Isaac Smith of Fayetteville; one brother, Aaron Isaac Byrd and wife Tracie of Avoca; one step-son, Mason Couch and wife Summer of Hulbert, Oklahoma; and two nephews and three nieces. He also has several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale. Date and time will be announced at a later date.
