Inex was the daughter of John Jacob Ryan(1816-1899) for whom Ryan Street is named. He is often referred to as the father of Lake Charles and is interred at the Historic Bilbo Cemetery on the lake front. Her mother Emma Barbara Munns Ryan née Platz(1836-1901) is buried at Orange Grover Cemetery on Broad Street.
