BILLIE'S OBITUARY
Billie Bernice Seal, 87, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022 in Conroe, Texas.
Billie was born October 22, 1934 in Honey Island, Texas to A. G. Creech and Ima Helen Balla Creech. She worked for many years before her retirement as a contract secretary/bookkeeper for nuclear power stations. She was a resident of Orange, Texas for many years before becoming a 40 year resident of Sabine County.
She was a member of Community Fellowship Church and she loved crocheting, quilting, and making afghans. In her younger days, she enjoyed fishing.
Billie is survived by her husband, Wayne Seal of Hemphill; daughter, Sabrina Lynn Sowell and husband, Van Allen, of San Augustine; special daughter, Loretta Wimberley of Broaddus; sister, Dorothy Marie Elliott of Beaumont; grandchildren, Chuck Mouton and wife, Amy Marie, of Lufkin, Josh Mouton and Tess Woodall of Bakersfield, CA, Jason Sowell and Jessica, Casey Sowell and Angela, all of San Augustine and Joey Sowell and Megan, of Hemphill; and great grandchildren, Anna, Zoe', Cash, Addalyn and Austin.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Esther Ray Riggs and Pat Lawson.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2022 at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, Texas.
Graveside services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022 in Rosepine Cemetery on Bailey Road in DeRidder, Louisiana under the direction of Starr Funeral Home will Bro. Daniel Serenil officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Todd McKee, Glennon McKee, Chris Riggs, Jason Cox, Morris Cox, and Jeffrey Cox. Honorary pallbearers are John Welborn, Jacob McKee, Nathan McKee, Johnny Welborn, Daniel Welborn and Blake Dumesnil.
Billie's family requests that instead of flowers, contributions instead be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital at stjude.org.
