Eleanor Peters, 79, of St. Mathias Township, passed away Friday, April 15, 2022, at Good Samaritan Village – Woodland Campus in Brainerd. Eleanor was born February 11, 1943, in Belle Prairie, MN, the daughter of Vincent and Angeline (St. Onge) Forcier. The family moved to the Brainerd area when Eleanor was young. Eleanor attended school in Brainerd where she met her sweetheart, Larry Peters. The couple were united in marriage on January 7, 1961, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd. They were blessed with three children.

Eleanor enjoyed being a homemaker – she enjoyed gardening and mowing the lawn (and getting the occasional gopher or two in the process). She liked snowmobiling, riding motorcycle with Larry, and horseback riding. She was also a big fan of Western movies. Eleanor was feisty and made sure her family knew who ruled the roost. And it was that leadership that made the family feel loved and never miss a Christmas Dinner with her famous lasagna. She loved spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eleanor's faith was paramount in her life, and she found much comfort saying the Rosary.

Eleanor will be missed by her son, Todd (Denise) Peters; daughters, Paige (Dana) Pikula and Tracy (Brian) Blaisdell; grandchildren, Ryan Gropper, Lindsay Pikula, Kayla Owen, and Tyra De Anda Luna; great-grandchildren, Kylin Cain, Carson Sargent, Callaway and Kennedy Owen, and Xiomara and Galilea De Anda Luna; sisters, Roseine (Don) Leuch and Mary Jane (Marvin) Ausland; and sisters-in-law, Marilyn Peters and Pamela Schilling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; parents; and brothers, Larry and Melvin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at NOON, Saturday, April 23, 2022, at St. Mathias Catholic Church. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to Mass and stay for a luncheon to follow. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Brainerd. Nelson – Doran Funeral Home
