Staatsburg – Robin R. Day (Rose), 62 of Staatsburg, NY passed away on Good Friday, April 15, 2022 at home after a long battle with cancer. She was born on March 10, 1960 in Poughkeepsie, NY, the daughter of Harry & Julia Merritt Rose. She graduated from F.D. Roosevelt High School and Dutchess Community College with a degree in Criminal Justice. She was employed for many years in Manufacturing and also worked with developmentally disabled adults at Taconic DDSO.
Robin was very talented in many ways. She had a love for crafts, using her hands to crochet and jewelry making. Camping was one of her enjoyments of life with her camper "Lucy".
Survivors include her partner: Liborio Montero at home; daughter: Sara King of Greenly, Colorado; mother: Julia Rose of Poughkeepsie, NY and grandchildren: Bradley & Zachary of Greenly, Colorado. A brother: Richard Rose of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, sisters: Carol Rose of Poughkeepsie, NY; Donna Rose of California and Sherry Moon of Red Hook, NY. There are several nieces, nephews and many Face Book friends. She is also survived by her beloved pets Whiskey and Willow. She was predeceased by her father and several aunts, uncles and grandparents. The family would like to thank the Staff of Hospice for assisting in her needs for comfort.
Services were private and have been held. Inurnment took place in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wm. G. Miller & Son FH, Inc.
