Robert "Bob" Nelson Hart, 87, died April 15, 2022, surrounded by his wife and family.

He was born in Steelton, PA, on August 20, 1934. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Chief Mineman during the Vietnam War and retired in 1973. He then worked in Civil Service where he retired from the Naval Ships Parts Control Center in Mechanicsburg, PA.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Mae Hart. They were married for 61 years on January 21, 2022. He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Brett Edward Hart. He is survived by two daughters, Corina Jo Tressler and Kathryn Elizabeth Hart of Newport, Pennsylvania and a son, Patrick Allen Hart, of Taneytown, Maryland.

Following his retirement from Civil Service, he and Connie relocated to Hartsville, SC where they lived for 23 years prior to moving to Taneytown, Maryland. Bob was a life member of the American Legion and served as Commander of Post 53 for several years. He enjoyed woodworking and solving crossword puzzles.

Bob was a member of the Wila United Methodist Church in PA and the Bethlehem United Methodist Church in SC where he sang in the choir and taught Sunday School.

There will be no memorial or burial services at this time.
