Mary Ann (De Loof) Vanden Berg, age 78, passed away April 9, 2022 from complications of Lewy body dementia. Her spirit left her earthly body to join the great cloud of witnesses who wait for the resurrection. She died peacefully in the presence of loving caregivers at Porter Hills.

She leaves her loving husband Ken, daughter Holly and John Van Essen and Kerri Vanden Berg, her grandchildren Emma and Josh Van Essen, sister Lynn and Kirk Rottschafer, Gordon and Jane Vanden Berg and nieces and nephews; Shelli Rottschafer (Daniel Combs), Jenna Jansen(Chad), Corey Visker(Kyle)and and Ben Vanden Berg(Stacy Ladenburger).

Mary Ann was an educator, teaching preschool and elementary school. She was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Ken and Mary Ann had many enjoyable years in retirement, traveling the US in their camper and spending time in Florida. They also enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church located at 47 Jefferson Ave, SE Grand Rapids, MI 49503 on Friday, April 29 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:30 to 2:00 pm.
