Mrs. Miriam Eloise Elkins, age 93, of Steger, IL, formerly of Robinson, IL, died Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at Vitas Hospice at Franciscan St. James Hospital, Chicago Heights, IL, following a brief period of declining health.

Born May 14, 1920 in Robinson, IL, she was the daughter of Rene and Lela Belle (Turner)Taylor. Eloise was employed as a machine operator at L.S. Heath and Sons, candy manufacturing plant in Robinson, IL.

Survivors include a niece and spouse, Joyce and John Kamplain, Steger, IL; three great nephews, Gary Stevens, Robinson, IL; Randal and Norma Kamplain, Reddick, IL; Russell and Chris Kamplain, Steger, IL; and a great-niece, Cynthia Sepula, Beecher, IL.

Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother, Woodrow "Woody" Taylor; a half-brother, Charles Martin; a sister, Marjorie Stevens; a half-sister, Katherine Martin; a niece, Dorothy White and an infant nephew.
